10/15 Is Sudan a Country?

In ancient times there was no Sudan. It is an artificial country that never have been created. It combines disparate peoples who had no tradition of being together. In fact, the Moslem Arabs in the north and the animist-Christian Blacks in the south were on opposite sides of centuries old. slave traffic. That hostility continues to this very day and contributed to the long civil war and the creation of South Sudan. Meanwhile the independent people of Darfur lived off to the west. Yet despite the years of violence, Sudan remains is a below-the-radar country still experiencing massive refugee and genocide problems.
